You see it all over in phone plan advertising: "No contract!" "No hidden fees!" "Unlimited data!" Thing is, all of these claims usually come with asterisks. If you know what you need from your phone plan, why can't you just pay for that? Well, you can with Tello. Tello offers coast-coast wireless coverage provided on the Nationwide Sprint® Network with a range of plans to meet any need. Whether you need the most basic ($7/month for 200MB of data, 0 minutes, unlimited text) or the most comprehensive ($39/month for 10GB of data, unlimited minutes, unlimited text) plan, Tello makes it easy to find the perfect plan for your budget and allows you to change it whenever you need.
  • Get $10 of credit towards the Tello plan of your choice
  • Connect to the Nationwide Sprint® Network for coast-to-coast 4G LTE coverage
  • Break free from contracts, staying as long or as short as you'd like
  • Pay upfront w/ no contract, activation, or early termination fees — what you see is what you get
  • Use your plan for US, Canada, Mexico & China calls, and add Pay As You Go for international calls & texts to any other country

Instant digital redemption
For new Tello users only
Deal is for a one-time credit to be applied to your Tello account
Credits do not roll over on a month-to-month basis
Credits cannot be combined or stacked
Credit valid only for monthly plans or PAYG purchases
Plans will automatically renew after 30 days with regular price
To use the credit on Tello's network, make sure your phone is unlocked, CDMA, Sprint ready and free of any contract or buy a phone from Tello
In case a purchased value of credit is less than the redeemed value on Tello.com, the difference between the two will be lost. Ex: you buy a $20 credit but buy on tello.com a monthly plan or PAYG that has the value of $15. You will lose the remaining $5

Who counts as new users?

I haven't been on Tello for over 6 months. I still have my SIM from when I used Tello though.

Can I still use that same SIM or do I need to get a new SIM? Where can I get a SIM?

You should be able to use your same SIM. You'll need to sign up for a new account with a different email though.

Wouldn't using an old SIM indicate that I am not a new customer?

No problem reusing the old SIM. On the Sprint network, the SIM can (and preferably should) be used with the same phone forever, no matter how many times the phone changes plans, providers, or owners. The SIM only provides an 'address' for LTE service, and does not contain any account information, as it would on other networks.

Ah Okie Dokie thanks!

Next question is... if I purchase this time, do I have to activate it right away? I am traveling overseas right now but will return in less than 2 weeks. Would love to buy it now and activate it later.

It seems like a great deal. Thumbsup

Taken from the Tello FAQ

Does my Pay As You Go credit expire?
Starting September 1, 2017, if you don't use the service for 3 months, the credit will expire and the Tello service will be disconnected. Otherwise, the balance and your number have unlimited validity as long as you call, text or surf the web.

It used to be 6 months, but they changed it to 3 months at some point last year. I have had about 15 phones active on Tello for over a year now - almost all for free with a $10 free credit, so I make sure I make a call on all of them just before the 3 month time period runs out.
