Hey guys,

I've been a member for a lonngggg time but not posted a deal for years.

This one is not earth shattering but It will help out anyone who wants a high end battery at a better than usual price.

After watching countless videos and blogs and reviews like this one ..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xUit0oiHKo (the number one battery shown here is $1700 lol)

I decided to not go with an Optima battery because they seem to have lost quality after moving their plant to Mexico.

Im not going into details why the Odyssey battery is so great... do your own research

But my Odyssey 35-PC1400 lists on average for about $300 https://www.summitracing.com/part...5-PC1400T/

Some places add shipping to that for around $35.

I found a few discount codes but 99% of the sites rejected the codes at checkout claiming car batteries were ineligable.

I discovered right off the top Batterymart had a great price right now of $239.95 with FREE shipping.

I got a discount code of "welcome5" for 5% off for signing up with their email but went digging and found the code MAR18 for $10 off.

I then found another code of "FREEVARTA" for four free AA Alkaline Batteries (hey free is free!)
And they actually let me stack the coupons! So bottom line

COUPON ($10 OFF):SUBTOTAL:$239.95
SHIPPING:
FREE
TOTAL:$229.95 and 4 free AA batteries

I'm sure you can use these codes for any batteries they sell. Good Luck!

We shall agree to disagree.... One who lives where climates drastically change and have many after market assessories would find this battery vastly better performing than your $90 Costco battery

The only applications where this would add a differentiated value from a $90 Costco battery, are those where the price of a battery is not an object in the first place. So what's the point of this deal?https://static.slickdealscdn.com/ima...s/emot-LOL.gif
You're saying, if you really need a battery like this, paying regular price is not a problem, right? I can pay whatever I need to, but why would I pay more than I have to? laugh out loud

I've had cheap batteries die prematurely more than once, more than one brand. Free warranty replacements are nice, but I'd rather not deal with the hassle of it dying, having to jump it, being late to work, having to jump it again, and going through the hassle at the store. It can get to -15 here for brief periods, and one of my vehicles isn't started daily, so I desire reliable CCA and I'll pay a little extra for a high-quality AGM battery.

Not everyone needs an Odyssey, but a lot of people swear by them rather than at them.

No they won't find this to be the case. If you have enough aftermarket accessories, you need a higher amperage alternator and a bigger battery, not a more expensive one.
Climate in MN, for example, changes from 100 F in the summer to -30 F in the winter and MN people don't have any issues with performance of regular batteries there.

You can disagree with reality all you want, the reality doesn't care. Applause

Are you always so confrontational and rude?

Hey.... If you don't want a high end battery... Don't buy one..... You remind me of the granny who only uses her computer for posting her pics of her cats on facebook pointing at gamer grandson telling him he is waisting his money on an Alienware computer cause her Walmart Acer celeron computer works just as well.

If you don't believe me.. Fine... Argue with those who know much more about batteries than I do.

Again... No-one is even "attempting " to get you to buy my posted battery.... If you don't want one... FINE!

Let me give you a hint - because time is more valuable than a few hundred bucks in those cases.
Giving me a hint, what? I use "good" batteries in my race cars and off road vehicles, so that means I'm wasting expensive time if I decide to pay less than full retail? I don't follow, and no one needs your rude "hints." Don't like it, don't buy one. Enjoy your Costco battery, or why not buy an even cheaper Walmart battery or a used one from the scrap yard if you think they're all the same. Confused LMAO Nono Harhar

Hmm i was thinking about buying another battery for my 2016 corvette as its 3 years old now but this is still almost twice the price than even the dealer charges installed. What kind of car are you putting a $300+ battery in?

Odyssey has a really good feel for making a high quality battery, much like optima used to be. For the average Joe, a $90 Costco battery is fine, but for those who understand what a good battery can do be have the need for it, spending a little extra can be a smart move. I will never run another liquid filled battery in anything I own. I also work in the auto industry, so I have some first hand knowledge on the topic.

Op... Nice price on that battery! I just dropped $230 on a deka a couple months ago, was looking at these but couldn't swing the extra $100 for an Odyssey (group 31) .

if your car is stock don't even bother. and also don't bother arguing with someone who IS considering this bc they obviously have different needs.

good deal.

Odyssey makes about the best batteries in the market right now. I'm amazed at all of the jerks thread crapping this deal! Your opinions about spending this much money on a battery are not wanted. If the OP posted about the best price available for this type of battery then that's all that matters.

Ah slickdeals, where if you don't understand the deals people feel the need to trash the deal. Never understood this. Don't like the deal? Don't understand the deal, move on. What's the point of arguing online?
