Much quieter and longer battery. I own two and know several people with iRobots, Neato, and Ecovacs. iLife products are a great bang for the buck

Seems like larger rooms are what is getting it low reviews. We've got a large house with hardwood floors through out and a large area rug in each room, so I don't think this would be great for us, but we've been watching for robo vacs for awhile now. Any suggestions? Our downstairs is 1,200 sq ft. Broken into 3 large rooms, with each having a large, heavy, braided area rug in each.

I read up on all the major brands and popular models and it seems divided into 2 groups smart and dumb regardless if they say smart or not. either its capable of some sort of mapping so it doesnt go over the same spots over and over aka a dumb pattern or not. to me it seems pointless to have it go in a random pattern since it will probably never be able to figure out the layout of an entire house. most of them might even miss whole rooms. plus it seems to me like it would just be running all the time and please correct me if im wrong. however I would personally prefer that it run a daily cycle that hits each room and then turns off for the day. I think in the long run it would not only be cleaner but save electricity and not stress my dog out as much. if you want to just plain save money up front and dont care if its constantly running and recharging then I guess this would work. my 2 cents.

Not sure if I am going to pick this up just yet.

Fakespot D (53% low quality reviews)

Only 1 review for the more expensive model.

Yep...and the fact OP just "knows" when the promo is going to end...adds to the sales/shill factor.

As for the units, you're right...only one review on the new one so (as of now) unproven if it's worth the extra cost.

Also odd feature set since even my $140 Deebot has things like an app control. Would think at the higher one's price point...that would be included.

Good deal if you have mostly hardwood and tile. A series still works better on carpet.

I have the v7s pro and it is fine IF you block it off room by room. The random pattern means it will hit 1 area over and over and leave other spots untouched. This becomes an issue with increasing house size as it takes exponentially longer for it to hit every area.

Just wait for the Xiaomi bot to go on sale again. It has mapping and seems to vacuum very intelligently. It also finds home base 100% of the time, whereas dumb bots do not. It went on sale several months ago a few times for $250 and I jumped on one of them. One of the best purchases I've made. I had to wait a few weeks to receive it since it's not on sale in the US, but it was worth it. Definitely would make your first experience enjoyable. My first bot was the Deebot n78, a dumb bot that just wandered around cleaning certain areas multiple times while completely missing others. My house isn't even that big. It also got stuck way too often, whereas my current Xiaomi rarely calls for help.

Did you had to pay customs for Xiaomi? Was thinking to buy one on Ebay but was not sure if I will get charged custom/taxes.

I have the v5s, not the pro and 2 of my friends also have the same model as mine. All of them are very good so far. I own mine for about a year, I use it twice a week to clean my rooms. Pretty good. The mopping function also good. Very easy to use and the replacement parts also cheap. This company comes with total 2 pairs of the sweeper (4 pcs) and 2 mopping cloth, 2 fine filters.

I am pretty happy with this robot. This is my personal experience, not a fake review. Lol
