What are the hubs for really. I know they help pair your smart units, but what is the main feature of a hub? Does this replace your router.?

It's a good router that anyone can install. Very simple but lacks features. The USB port can't be used for HDD or printer. Only 1 Lan port so you may need a switch. Has speaker, mic, Bluetooth but honestly can't figure out how to use them.

They never enabled those. Unfortunately. Anyone saying the range is as good as any ac router hasn't lived in a recently, well built apartment complex. They differ, vastly.

Not to mention the Google WiFi app is super easy and user friendly. It's made for really anyone to figure out.

I have two of these for a mesh network and they work really well. Range and speeds are very good.

I also have two. Our internet jack is in the family room. The bedroom above the opposite side of the house had speed issues due to the hvac. I installed the second in the kitchen as a mesh and we have complete awesome coverage
