Hi Guys!

I know someone posted this back in December, but it seems like this is still going on. I've been receiving emails over the last few weeks saying they want me to come back and that this offer is valid on any inactivated XM radio. Not sure if it will work for new subscribers or all so YMMV!

This is an excerpt of what the email i receive says.

— SAVE —
$ 131 off of the current rate when you subscribe to Select on your inactive radio and get your first 12 MONTHS FOR $60 See Offer Details below

or Call 1-877-837-6647

I've randomized my information in the original URL, but if you punch in your radio and account information, hopefully it will come up for you as well!

And they call 3 times a day for my 3 vehicles. It's annoying as shit.

If you have an online account you can set the Do Not Call option in My Account Info > Communication Preferences.

The "music royalty fee" they tack on your subscription rate is now 19.1%, so count on paying that extra charge as well.

My 5 months for $$25 promotion was ending tomorrow, so I called to go through the standard "negotiation". Heard about the $60 for 1 year here and else where, so when the rep got to allowing me to do $25 for 5 months again, I just asked if I could get that same rate for a longer time frame, and he said he could offer 1 year. Total with the fees was $75.75, Music Royalty Fee was $11.46 This is for the Select package.

I refuse to pay it, and always have it credited back. It's BS.

The issue is they will sell you a "select" plan that doesn't include all the channel; i.e. no Howard Stern.
You need to make sure they give you the all access plan.

Yes. I've done it every single renewal for years now. Keep trying, if you are shot down. I'm good for a long time now (got the 3 year deal recently) but those "Music Royalty Fee" are just a BS below-the-line to pad their profits without raising the "rate" of the package. I refuse to pay it and will drop it in a heartbeat if they ever refuse to credit it back to my account.

I used to do the 6 for 30 dance all the time but had one rep that refused to, so I cancelled my service and haven't re-upped since. It took me so long to get my number removed from their spam system after that I'll never re-up with a valid number again.

Had no idea they can credit this back. I have a suspended radio coming back online soon, maybe I'll try that. On what grounds do you argue, merely you'll cancel if you have to pay it???

I had an odd experience with them about 2 months ago. I have NEVER given them my cell phone, nor have I ever used it to call them, and somehow they were spamming me on it. I told them to remove the number and asked how they got it. The guy didn't know, but he did say that all of my numbers will be removed.
