It's been fluctuations between $550 and $599 I'd say wait for it's price to drop again before getting it

This is a better deal for $599
https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspir...B075FLBJV7

because it comes with one 8gb ram module - newegg claims there are two 4gb - so upgrading is easier on the amazon
also Amazon is confirmed as IPS display, and there are no reviews on the newegg one, it could be TN display.
It has been the same price on Amazon since Oct 17.

For the first time, the 8550u model has dropped in price, and is now $749 instead of $799
click on core i7-8550u
Price just dropped today for the first time, so maybe the 8250u will come down in price.
I think this laptop is be the best value for the $ right now.

I reccomend staying away from a laptop like this. The heatsink has the processor and graphics card connected then cooled by one small fan. My laptop is similar to this one, low speed cpu that turbos to almost double, plus graphics card being cooled by one heatsink/fan. The graphics card is constantly running at 90 degrees and has to throttle itself to cool which makes sound and games stutter. I'm honestly suprised they still make laptops with graphics cards this way.

If this laptop is SSD it doesn't have a fan.
