My D7100 took a dump, so this was a nice time for a deal on a replacement.

Great deal! I love my D7200. It's not full frame but takes amazing pics.

Thanks OP.

So, I've been waiting for this to reappear for awhile and now it has. Problem is, I showed my wife the D7500 at Costco and she liked the tilt LED and that it shoots video in 4k (we have a 4k tv). I would love to save a few bux on this D7200 and can live w/o those two qualities. I'll have to break the bad news to her and hope these stick around until she gets home from work later tonight.

Yes..... lol, you paid close to 600.00 for the D40 body back in 2008. This is a Huge upgrade. Still have a D40 and a D700.Im thinking on getting one myself.

The difference between Nikon and Canon is very small. I shoot Nikon but I'd shoot Canon too. If you don't shoot birds or sports then I'd look hard at Fuji too.

A back up body to my D750 or splurge on the Sigma Art 85mm 1.4? Any pros on slick deals?

Bought it. Thanks OP.
Now, I need to get rid of my 3 yr old D 7100.
Other than Craigslist or Ebay, are there any places I can try?

I had a d40x and went to a d7000 and now wish I had a d500 or a top tier camera. Depends on your goals but I loved my d7000 at the time. I imagine this is similar and a good camera for general needs.

Id get another full frame or splurge on that portrait lense or one similar. Maybe 3 portrait photoshoots and you could buy the d750
