Editor's Notes & Price Research

Written by

  • Machine Learning by Hugh Howey, is an impressive collection of Howey's science fiction and fantasy short fiction, including three stories set in the world of Wool, two never-before-published tales written exclusively for this volume, and fifteen additional stories collected here for the first time. These stories explore everything from artificial intelligence to parallel universes to video games, and each story is accompanied by an author's note exploring the background and genesis of each story.

yes, but I think that link is for the original book 1. This link (omnibus) has all the books in wool (I think)
https://www.amazon.com/Wool-Omnib...549&sr=1-1

here's all 3 [amazon.com]
they are all available with kindle unlimited, which still appears to be $1 for 2 months

edit:
searching "silo saga" will give you all the books published, many by amateur authors. Some are better than others.there's a total of 135 results at the moment. THe saga is several years old but there's still books being published. It's very addicting

Wool is great, Shift is awful. Howey is a bit hit and miss.

I thought Shift was better than Wool. I'm almost done with Dust now. Why does no one mention Dust?

I mean, it's a matter of opinion, but I didn't think Shift was awful. Wool was great, but Shift was far from awful.

I read all of them straight through in one book. I didn't notice any degradation throughout, although I'd say Dust was a bit long in the tooth. But the writing stayed consistent. We all have our opinions, but I will also disagree with you. Even my wife read the full collection, and she rarely reads. This and 11/22/63.
