Dispellling myths the NSA lemmings will no doubt post:
  • No independent industry reviews have confirmed any malware rumors.
  • Kaspersky has sued the gov't to put up or shut up
  • Kaspersky was the first AV to detect the Stuxnet worm perpetrated by "friendly" agencies
  • NSA files sent to Kaspersky were the result of a NSA contractor using an "already infected, bootlegged" software pkg!

Well I've never had a problem with them and it's one of the best A/V suites out there. My sub expired today so thanks and hopefully I get the codes I need soon to update my subscription as they always want full retail to reup your sub directly through them.

Federal Law No. 40-FZ outlines a legal obligation by Kaspersky to assist Russian FSB officials in the execution of their duties, "including counterintelligence and intelligence activity." Russian law also permits FSB personnel to be embedded in private enterprises, including Kaspersky, under the same law. Furthermore, because Kaspersky qualifies as an "organizer of the dissemination of information on the Internet" under Article 10. 1 of Federal Law No. 149-FZ, it is required to provide the FSB with metadata (as of July 1, 2018), and is also required to provide Russian officials with decryption keys for its data transmissions. Articles 6 and 8 of Federal Law No. 144-FZ also require Kaspersky to install equipment for the FSB to monitor data transmissions.

"Dispellling myths the NSA lemmings will no doubt post:"

"NSA lemmings" is anti-American politics. Take your political rants to the podium, comrade.

How about dispelling your bad spelling? What's wrong? They don't teach English spelling in Red Sparrow school?

Kaspersky is required by Russian law to assist Putin's FSB in his war against the US.
