Well, they have this same model at Home Depot for $800+ so you're in luck.

Pretty good reviews at Home Depot. Was also looking at Sears and the reviews on the smaller Craftsman blowers are brutal. The carbs keep going bad and Sears won't cover their repair even under warranty. I was at Sears and a man brought in a Craftsman two stroke gas trimmer and Sears Repair would not even look at it, saying that they no longer repair two strokes. I felt sorry for the guy. Sears is really going downhill.

Remember the larger units require more space to store and unless you have a large area to clear I'd stick to snow blowers between 24 and 28 inches wide.

Spectacular find, I was looking for a replacement for my 22 yr old MTD 8hp/26" width just this morning. Going to pull the trigger.

I bought this one in September and I really like it. Think at time it was on sale for $630 so this is a good deal on a nice thrower. It comes from Factory shipped in a crate.

Looks like a good deal, but do your homework. I looked into the 24" version, an I saw reviews that say the plastic console is prone to break. I think they were on the Poulain web site.

Hmmm wondering if it's worth $150 for the extra 3 inch clear path and power steering?

Weird that the 3rd picture in the gallery on the link is a picture of the manually controlled chute from the single stage model. Made me do a double take.

One thing I've learned is to never buy Walmart tools. Actually in general I never spend over $100 on a single item at Walmart unless it is a very well known brand (Toshiba, TLC, ect). I'll go to lowes/home depot/tractor supply of I need something of the sort
