This is a perfect alternative of XPS 15, may be short in battery life but offers twice the SSD and 30% more Graphics power (1050 ti vs normal 1050). Also, the Ram can be upgraded and both the slots are user accessible.

Truly great specs

Too bad that it seems to suffer from extreme backlight bleeding (see the reviews)

Where did you get the review? I didn't find any official reviews apart from some YouTube videos.

The heatsink/fan on this model isn't ideal. Bet it runs very warm- repaste and undervolt might be a good idea.

http://forum.notebookreview.com/t...t-10608584

The GPU is the 1050ti Max-q, which seems to be an odd pairing with the last gen CPU.

And seriously, how many models does Lenovo need to name 720S?

Pricing was $950 when released then went up to 1199 or something. Doesn't look like these are selling well. I'd expect it to hit $800 in a few months.

Your information is very misleading and outdated. This model is actually very good at heat management. It's actually a very good all around light gaming laptop. Below is a very detailed review:

Hi Mr. Smart. What do you mean by last generation CPU? I know you are going to say 8th Generation. Well, the problem is Intel has only released 8th Generation for U Series processors with 15W TDP. There is no HQ series 8th Generation processors at all and i7-7700HQ is still the performance king and all the performance oriented Laptop has it instead U series processors.

So, from now on, learn first and then comment.

You're right! That pic I linked doesn't represent the cooling setup on this model. You can see the insides around 7:05 in the vid you linked.

These are minimum specs expected in this price by the way.

I ordered one. Looks like a good deal, and various websites offer cash back for Lenovo purchases.

This seems like a really good deal for this power at $750.
