Don't think the v6 is worth that anyway. You'll be dissatisfied knowing what you want most out of this vac is with the v8.

I actually have the V6, and I tested a V8 for a week before returning. Didn't notice much of a difference to be honest. The dust canister on the V8 is easier to empty and keep clean, that's about it.

really? I agree with v6 vs v8, especially now that you can get v8 absolute close to the same price (like the target deal), but I don't think feature difference between v10 and v8 is worth a $400 price difference for the absolute. I find the improvements incremental.

v8 absolute for $299 is complete crap shot, in fact every single target around me within 60 miles has it for $420 and most of SD deals regarding that are at the $330+ range, so we're stll talking about $100+ difference.

the $400 price different you're talking about is the crapshot $299 vs MSRP, and "incremental" can be subjective, the same can be said for v6 vs v8.
