Yeah, this has been this price on Amazon for the past couple days. I ordered one in a moment of weakness (I really don't need it), and then tried to cancel my Amazon order but was a little too late. Arriving on Tuesday. Hopefully I will be able to stay strong and return it even when I have it physically in my possession...

Does the Joy Con charge while the switch is charging via power bank? And while connected to Dock extender?

I plan to just keep the joy con with the switch and get a Pro controller to play on TV (by using Dock Extender) so i dont have to remove from switch from Mumba case.

It's just too expensive for me to justify this price. I brought a dock during the last sale. Have 4 joycons. Hate having to use the console to charge them.

I'm not liking this nickel and dime stuff. Why give me the console without this. The switches price and included accessories is a disappointment.

I'll get one at 10. Or a switch controller charger.

Anyone else find the grips a pain to remove and add each time? Once I put them on backwards and they slide right in. They didn't put much money into the console.
The extra dock is a major expense in my opinion. Optional accessories I highly recommend are one of these, a Pro controller, and a multi joy-con charger is nice. Sure the Switch could have included this or at least had pass through to charge the joy-con without a battery built in, so you'd have to use a cable. But that would mean extra cost and some still wouldn't get that there was any difference between the two models. Also if you have a few people around (or kids) grab a couple Power A Pro controllers at $20 each on sale, they are worth it. But as for nickel and diming, I know many people who game solely with the Switch and two joy-con attached. So I'm fine with having to buy a few extra controllers and chargers, I had to with PS4 Pro and XOne X. Plus the battery on this grip and all Switch controllers is way better than other consoles.

The battery life on joy cons is 20 hours right? This seems like overkill.
Great price though considering MSRP is $30.

it does kind of suck when you do run out of batteries and you either have to switch to handheld or wait for them to charge

Oh I understand.
I just haven't gamed for more then 8 hours straight on the switch and went back to charging it. I mean if your taking extremely long game sessions without a break that long, seems low that most people would use this.

I don't see why you would ever want more than one pair of joycon anyway. They are awful and cost as much as the pro controller.

Some games require them, and they can technically be used as two controllers instead of just one.
