Just use a sata cable and sata port on your motherboard. You will also need to make sure you have a sata power connector on your power supply open. Make sure the sata port is sata 3. Many older motherboards have sata 2 and sata 3 ports available on them.

They can still use sata 2 if they don't have sata 3, they are backwards compatible the speeds will just be limited.
