I would pass on the Z Force even though it's the better phone spec wise of the two. Having a Z2 Force with the shatter proof display I can tell you that unless the previous owner put a glass screen cover or a zagg shield on the phone your display will be scratched to hell. I've also owned many Moto phones and out of all the brands of phones I've owned their batteries lasting long after a few years are the worse. Even though both of these phones have huge batteries do not expect to see the battery times they quote when new.

I had the z play a while ago and that battery was nuts for a mid range. Lasted longer than my recent pixel 2 xl.

It's a cheap price, but stay away from moto especially the Z series, or you'll regret. Mine full battery only lasts 23 minutes, happen to all 6 of them I got for my whole family on 2017.

I agree. I'm saying that after a few years old, which these phones are, your battery life will get no where near the specified times more than likely. I've owned enough Moto phones to know their batteries they use are great until you hit the 1-2 year mark and it's down hill from there. I'm well aware of battery life cycles but it seems Moto phones hit it and it's game over. That's why I avoid used phones, you have no idea the charging habits of the last user. I know some people that if their phone gets below 90% they throw it on a charger.

Never buy this..
I have moto z droid force. Just used 1year.

I normally use 2.5years to 3yrs to get the new one.

I regret a lot. Going for s9+ after 1yr...

Trash battery, UI, software.

Copy and past doesnt work sometimes. Keyborad doesnt pop up sometimes.

Very annoying

My Moto Z Play battery is 1.5 years old and the battery lasts me almost 2 days with moderate usage.

I had the Z Force for like a week and couldn't even get a day with the battery.

So it's not the entire Z series like you said, just certain models.

I picked up a Moto Z Droid during the Best Buy deal last year (included the battery mod) and I've never had issues running out of power. Can't speak to the software much, since I've been using mine as an MP3 player and GPS.

You don't have to work for a particular company to tell the truth.

Your experience is extreme. As others have noted the phones are solid for most of them. Thanks

Bought the Z play for ~$250 about a month ago. Extremely good battery life and a solid phone. Highly suggest for $170 if you're in the market for a phone with exceptional battery life

Exactly. If the battery on every one of these phones lasted 30 minutes there would be a huge class action lawsuit over it.
