How does this compare to https://www.bestbuy.com/site/yama...d=5787200?
Primary difference would be this deal doesn't include a receiver/amplifier which you'd have to purchase separately to power the speakers, though that could be a good thing as you can pick a receiver that's best for your needs.

Did anyone ever figure out a better solution to wall mount the h/k speakers? The non standard wall mount solution is a nightmare

You could get these and a budget receiver... Or if you want a receiver on the cheap, check out craigslist or go to best buy, they always have open box receivers and you can typically haggle with them on open box pricing. Just talk to a manager.

Almost pulled the trigger on the HKST 16 that were on sale through Harman last week for $139. REFURBISHED though, these are new. Might hold out for the HKST 30s and hope they go on sale.

The ENERGY Take Classic 5.1 is another good options for a 5.1 in a box set up. You can find them for $250-300 and are highly review when it comes to these.

Personally after researching home theater systems, I am going with large speakers since I have a house with the room. Budget Pioneer Andrew Jones Series seem to be a good competitive options for just a small increase in price (if you catch them piece by piece on sale). I already have a sub and a receiver though. Prob spend ~$300 for the 5 speaker set up if I can hold out for sales.

I don't see why not... but that's a pretty nice receiver and these are more budget speakers. You would be getting a lot more out that receiver if you splurged a bit on speakers.

Price and brand seems great. However, I'm holding out for white sets.

On a separate question, I would like to go as wireless as possible. Can you suggest such a setup (assuming it's possible but costly). Thanks

Any idea how these compare to the typical frys tower speakers that go on sale for around $70-80? I know that's a broad statement but I'm sure the cheapish tower speakers aren't drastically different. I mainly just want decent sound and not expensive. I had a ridiculous system years ago and it was just overkill.
