Got this direct from the the Viotek site. Great so far, no dead pixels on arrival, good build quality. Only complaint is no height or angle adjustment.

I think that must be something done by slickdeals. If you copy and paste the URL, it should work.

This price is close enough to the crossover monitor that ive been watching that I cant stand it. I dont like curved monitors though. Is there a 27 inch non curved with the same stats?

Didn't see any mention of what panel it is. Assuming it's TN.

The stand looks cumbersome with the tripod limiting desk space and forcing the monitor closer to user...anyone experience that issue?

Purchased this back when it was $370. Great deal, and no regrets paired with my AMD Ryzen 1600 and GTX 1070ti. I do not have AMD FreeSync set up on mine. Never took the time to figure it out because 144hz is plenty fast for me on Warframe and etc.

You'll never get freesync setup bc you have a Nvidia GPU... 🤔

Ha I totally agree with you. And if it wasn't for the stupid prices of GPU's right now I'd prob have already switched over to get that freesync

Adaptive Sync isn't magical. I went from AMD to NV and didn't even notice. It's more for people with weak systems or playing badly optimized games; as long as you can maintain a high framerate then it does nothing. You should try a monitor that supports Lightboost if you haven't already (Everyone has an Asus VG248QE lying around right). It makes a far bigger difference than Adaptive Sync.

If you're getting a 1080p screen, you might be right.

With QHD screen, on a GTX 1080 my fps drops to under 80 in heavy fire fights in destiny 2, but indoors it's over 110. With Gsync I don't feel those drastic fps changes at all. I would rank refresh rate as more important, but adaptive sync is also necessary for many.

Edit: I also regret switching from a RX 480 to nvidia, now that I'm monitor shopping...

Well the bigger question is if you are looking for performers for fps, you kind of don't want any adaptive sync at all, so why are you even bothering?

There are some tweaks that reduce input lag, like capping refresh rate 6 frames then max to keep sync on, but if you want the lowest input lag, you are better off at a setting where you almost never dip below max refresh rate.

So you take the best and cheapest video card that you can afford, lower the settings of your game to get the max frames out of it.

There are people out there with wqhd 144hz monitors wiith cards that really only drive 1080p at 144. You should reduce your resolution to 1080p.
