This is a great mouse for people with larger hands. I use it for work.

Caution: This is a pretty good mouse, feels solid, fits larger hands, I use it today, but be warned that it is a power hungry battery consumer (like most performance devices are apparently).

It is not like a Logitech Marathon mouse's battery conservative use design, so be aware to have rechargeable AAs handy or plug in.

I have 2 of these mice. And I noticed that the one I use at work only lasts a few days before needing to be charged again. I make sure to turn it off when I'm not using it. Anyone else experience this issue?

Yep. The ergonomics are great for larger hands. I love the weight of it, and rarely feel any fatigue.

However, i've gone through two of these (bought one plus one warranty replacement) because the clickers in the buttons inevitably fail and start registering double clicks or missing/dropping clicks. It's a problem Logitech has refused to address – they keep using the same crappy switches. And a shame because this was literally their top of the line mouse when it came out, and each only lasted me around a year before the primary button got flaky. Inexcusable for a premium mouse at its original price. Maybe now at this price it's more excusable.

I also have issues with the scroll wheel sensitivity in Mac software (there's just no way to simulate the smooth natural scroll feel like an Apple trackpad), which is more of a software issue, but another thing they haven't addressed in their control panel for Mac.

EDIT:
Regarding batteries, it comes with an Eneloop-like rechargeable, and I have spares I just swap in and charge the other. I usually get several weeks between swaps depending on how heavily I'm working at my desk.

It's a good mouse, although I personally found its predecessor(MX 1100) to be far more comfortable for people with large hands. With the Performance MX, my wrist and pinky are always making contact with the mousing surface. It's a shame these Logitech mice all suffer from double-clicking microswitches; I've revived my MX 1100 several times, but it seems it's days are numbered as effort of periodically cleaning the microswitch is beginning to get out of hand.

Would this be a decent mouse to lug around with a laptop I use for school? Doubt I'd use it much since I have the xps 2-in-1, but just in case....

It's pretty large. I would suggest the MX Anywhere 2 mouse
