I agree there is a lot of junk out there but I have four of these exact ones that have worked great for about 5 months. They still look new. They light up my dogs 25ft per side pen pretty well. They have gotten snowed and rained on the entire time. They do only last about 2 hours of constant on when it's been really cloudy for a couple days though, about 5 when it's nicer out. If I put them on motion activated they last all night. I'll probably put better batteries in them at some point. IMO they are pretty good and definitely worth $10 a pair. Buying four more.

Shill garbage. See this crap on here once a week or more these days. Stop buying these lights. Stop buying these Chinese knock-off products with coupon codes. Be smarter, SD.

Regarding the lights themselves, expect maybe an hour or two of light after the sun goes down. Less once the solar panel clouds over in 4-5 months. "Waterproof" means, to these people, that it won't work when it rains, but it will still function once it dries.

I think I can agree. Twice I have purchased solar LEDs like this and the success is hit or miss. Does anyone have an alternative QUALITY product? I guess yes this is a deal for a low quality product, but where are the high quality LED solar light deals?

IP64 rating shown on the Amazon product page is decoded is as follows (per Wiki):

The "6" means Effective Against:
Dust tight. No ingress of dust; complete protection against contact (dust tight). A vacuum must be applied. Test duration of up to 8 hours based on air flow.

The "4" means Protection Against:
Splashing of water. Water splashing against the enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effect, utilizing either: a) an oscillating fixture, or b) A spray nozzle with no shield.
Test a) is conducted for 10 minutes. Test b) is conducted (without shield) for 5 minutes minimum.

Any suggestions as to which one we should get? Considering getting something similar for my brother in law.
And btw, totally agreed. Got lots of junky lately. Wish I could resist buying these junkies.

I have purchased a few of the solar lights that pop up on here and the only ones that work well are the 28 LED ones [amazon.com]. The 10 LED set [amazon.com]was crap, one barely lights up and the other was DOA. I am going to hold off on buying any more of cheap sets like these. Just my two cents.

I've had these in my cart, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'd rather have white than black:
