I have been seeing them quite often here in San Diego at Best Buy and Target so I doubt they're now difficult to find

Just google RetroPie. You can buy the Raspberry Pi, A couple of NES Style controllers, 64GB SD Card, an NES Case for around $80. (Plus a Monitor & Speakers or a TV with built in speakers that has a HDMI input). And a Wired USB Keyboard too if you don't have one.

You can get the ROMs / images from the normal locations that host such things https://static.slickdealscdn.com/ima...ilies/wink.gif

64GB for that is a huge waste, as is spending $80 for all of that, should cost much less.

Perhaps it varies from locale to locale but around here these aren't terribly hard to find anymore and haven't been since some time in January or so. I laugh when I see people still trying to flip these locally.

It's not that much more for 64gb SD than 32gb. And there's a lot of pre built 64GB images out there that you can download and flip the image on the card.

The opportunity to go back and play all those games that I grew up on (NES, SNES, Sega, Atari, Gameboy, NDS, etc.) is worth $80 to me. Considering a new gen game is $50-$60 right now, I don't have a problem dropping $80 for this system that contains THOUSANDS of old school games.

I burned some Toys R' Us gift cards to get one of these before they went belly up. Just got it today. Figured I should be able to get ALMOST what I have in it. That's better than losing it all.

I've got a couple retropie builds and one of these. I loaded lots more games on the snes Classic, but I still use my retropie builds a lot more often.. haven't used the snes Classic in months
