Yeah, I never understood why just bringing a cigarette lighter wouldn't work

Burn time, 5 minutes is enough to dry out some moist tinder to start a real fire. There's no way in hell you're holding a Bic lighter on fire for 5 minutes straight, you'll cook your finger.

Very simple to have Alexa order it. Gotta love the loophole.

Because I can put this in my emergency bag and know in 5 years I can still start a fire with it. I don't have to worry about fuel evaporating or it being crushed. This isn't to start a fire I knew I was going to light.

You are better off getting a quality firesteel and learning how to start a fire in wet conditions. if you like the wax starter -- make yourself one with lint and wax in an egg carton.

Tools are awesome -- but its skill, experience, and training that matter when it counts.

I know a person who takes long 2-3 months hikes alone and he takes a lot of matches. This thing is a toy. If you relay only on it and it brakes you are screwed.

Yes download the Amazon Music app. It's got an Alexa button.
