This laptop has a beautiful display.

I'm really curious to try the XPS 15 2-in-1 that are allegedly coming out this spring. But that sucker doesn't have traditional USB ports so this one is definitely more convenient to use. (Still has 2 usb 3.0 ports, a thunderbolt, HDMI, SD slot)

What makes this so much more than inspiron 7000 ? Is it just that it's a lot lighter?

Build quality is top notch. (I own the Precision variant)

It's very compact, which often raises the price, and it comes with a 4k screen. Otherwise I don't see the appeal. It's got a last gen processor, the lower end 1050 (ie not the ti), and only 8GB RAM. If you don't care about size or 4k you can get something with better internals for half this.

Nice, but a lot of reviews on Amazon state experiences of QC related issues. Idk man, been burnt by Dell before.

FYI: if you squeeze $350 more, you can get an i7 with double RAM & double SSD capacity.

8th Gen Intel Laptop chips launching in April - we should be seeing a lot of sales coming up of the existing inventory from major vendors but this is a nice deal

Lighter, smaller, longer battery life, premium build, higher contrast and bright screen, better color for photos and videos. I had both. Xps is more for the need it than want it.

Make sure you can return it. There are so much QC issues with XPS series. I owned both 9550 and 9560. The 9560 has more QC issues than 9550 one.

To balance this comment, I have a 9560 and love it. Absolutely no issues whatsoever.
