Question about digital games on psn

3,062 203 March 14, 2018 at 02:36 AM
My question is if I purchase games on one account and on one console and if I want to share those games with someone else - how can I do that without logging in to my account on someone else's console?
Can I do something like getting a 1tb portable hard drive, transfer/copy those games that I purchased and downloaded to my console into the portable hard drive and have the other person plug that portable hard drive into his own console and he will install it on his system? Would this be possible? Basically what I'm trying to find out is if this can be done without having my account be linked/registered in anyway to someone else's console and they can still install and play those games off the portable hard drive? Any replies will be appreciated.

PS4: You can't do this at all. They'd have to sign into your account to play the games. Doesn't matter if you take the HDD, the games on the HDD will not boot without a verification.

PS3: You can do this in a way. As long as the other console has your account on it, the person can play your games on their account. Only thing is that they'd have to sign into your account to download any new games. Or they'll be stuck with the games they already have and can't delete them or they'd have to sign in your name again to re-download the games.

You can make their ps4 your primary console. It will be on your account but they won't be able/ have to log into your psn account.

Is there any way I can make a PS4 un-primary?

Yes. You just have to make it primary again from your console and then theirs will be taken out as a primary.

Yes, as stated above. Or you can just remove it as primary info Sony's website, but they only let you switch it every 6 months or a year.

This may sound weird - can I make my own account on my own PlayStation console unprimary?

Yes You can. You just deactivate it through the same options.
