Home Depot had these on sale earlier this month for 24 cents. We picked some up for $100 and made this patio.

You might want to hold off on these. Looks like they aren't rated for vehicle traffic, which may end up cracking them and having to do it all over again. And laying pavers is not something you want to do repeatedly....

My store doesn't have any of those, but they do have some very similar for the same price.

Perfect timing. I need to add some to the side of my driveway as it's narrow. I'll have to also grab some sand and gravel to create the base for it. And a tamper to compact everything. So i need all the things.

This will probably look real nice for a year or 2 (if they don't break due to vehicle weight). Then they will probably start sinking below the level of the driveway and not look so nice. I don't think this is the way to go.

Does the sand or gravel used as foundation cost a lot?

I would say the sand and gravel was about 50-60 bucks (estimating). And the edging was another 20-30. We had to make a few runs to HD to buy more sand to make it level. They're about 2.50 a bag.

It varies greatly from location to location. Here, It's nearly thirty per ton for gravel and twenty-something to deliver up to 6 tons. You have to call around to see the price. Don't buy it from Lowe's in bags, unless you have a VERY small area.

With the trailer rental, materials, and hired labor (excavating/removing the dirt) it was about $300.
The hired labor was worth it. It cut the time in half and we completed the job in 2 days.
