I bought a set of clip on lenses from a prior Slickdeal.. They were a set of Aukey fisheye, wide angle and macro lenses. I think it was $5.95. Photography is my hobby, so I was expecting nothing useful. In the end I actually enjoyed playing with them. The only one I use on a frequent basis is the fisheye. All three definitely degrade the image quality. Especially in the corners it gets pretty bad. Also, it's sort of impossible to carry these with you if you are out and about. They don't reliably stay on the phone, and even if they would fit in a pocket they would shift and fall off the phone. Clipping it on also takes a little bit. You have to get it exactly centered or everything will be blurry. So in other words, these are a toy, not terribly useful, but if you knew you are going somewhere without a real camera you could bring these with you and possibly get some nice results.

I think cig companies were giving these away for free pretty regularly a few years ago - I ended up with a few sets. My phone cam already sucks so this made it pretty awful but still fun to see it at work!

First time I've seen a product like this with a good Fakespot rating - this one scores an A.

So..which ones aren't going to be toys then? $20 ones? $200 ones? No one's going to turn a $200 phone into a $200 camera but I'm sure some of these products provide actual improvements.

Moment Lens. Good glass. They attach to a case you must use with it. But a different price range for sure - retail is $130 for the case plus a single lens.

I don't know. If I start spending $200, then I may as well bring my better cameras. These are toys, quality is low, you may get an occasional usable picture, but that's it. When you consider the size of carrying these around along with your phone and the time to get it set perfectly in front of the lens, you might as well get a refurbished point and shoot and get way better images across the board.

I ordered from this deal the last time around. Just a word of warning, this lens is huge and heavy so you will not be able to carry it around in your pocket or even in your day purse. It's the size of a small apple but nowhere on the selling page or even pictures do you realize the size of it until you get it home.

My use it to click on my iPhone4 which is on magnet mount in my car and used as a DashCam. Despite very heavy weight of this magnifying glass, it does not move the phone off the magnet mount and does not shake this set up in anyway loose during my hour plus drive. The videos come out beautiful and the wide lens works great. Make sure you don't cover light sensor on your iPhone or everything is blurry. The reason I don't like the magnifier is because iPhone cannot be left in the car due to temperature ranges and I have to carry it home and it's very bulky.

I hate Dashcams, older iPhones are a perfect solution. I had an expensive tiny clip lens but scratched it.

for $130 i'd rather get a dedicated camera.

I have also bought this on the previous deal, I confirm, is huge! I have sent it back because I didn't wanted to carry it around, and also the screw system for mounting on the support or change type of lens is not too practical.
