Isn't this same spec as Costco deal, which has $10 price difference plus Tax of course. Or am I missing something.

Edit 1: why does the title say 16GB Ram and description 8GB

Edit 2: title updated to 8GB, so correcting my comment.

I apologize if this is a dumb question. Does the Thunderbolt 3 mean that this can hook up to a several year old Apple 27" thunderbolt display?

Tu but not sure about the 256 ssd.
Would it be difficult to install a 1tb or more hard drive down the road?

I would add a sata drive and an extra 8 gb of ram, which would add weight to the already 5.8 lbs. It's a heavy laptop for traveling but still do able.

The largest appeal of Thunderbolt 3, in my opinion, is the ability to use external GPUs in the future to prevent the computer's obsolescence.

You can get a Seagate STDR2000100 2tb, remove the hard drive and put it in the laptop. I just did this yesterday. Now the laptop has 256gb ssd and a 2tb hard drive.

Hmm may wait then. Hopefully I can have enough restraint to wait for Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

Hoping for $600 or $800 w a Vr headset I can sell.

Apple used Thunderbolt 2 which is implemented over display Port whereas Thunderbolt 3 is implemented over USB 3.1 Type-C Port. So, you probably need a Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter for it.
