I've been waiting a while for a strand of solar lights that don't feature this copper strand that breaks on the second bend. I cannot imagine that this stuff could survive anything but the mildest of winters.

You'd be right. I bought 8 of these for a project on my terrace, and all but 3 survived past a couple of months. Adjusting them slightly caused the wire to snap on multiple occasions. This was in the warm PR sun, too. Keep in mind the solar panels are NOT waterproof, either.

Most were already busted, but after hurricane Maria, water got into every single panel, damaging most of my rechargeable batteries. When they did work, they looked amazingly beautiful, I'll give'em that.

Edit: Disclaimer, I had the two-strand copper lights, these are three braided together, so it SHOULD be stronger..if you don't need a lot, then go for it!

In for one. Worth a try since it's triple braided.

thats subjective, My sister found out we have a pair of these and literally hung them all over her room for decor.

72 feet for $8 is around 9 feet of 'decoration lighting' for $1, only other place you're going to see similar pricing is the 99 cent store

I think the problem is that the product photos show it outside in permanent locations. It doesn't sound like it would be realistic to keep it working in that usage scenario--which kind of defeats the purpose of solar lights.

Used these type (copper strand but not this brand) for a Ragnar trail race campsite. I kind of think of these as being best for temporary setups. The Solar power would be good for multiple day camping trips. Thinking of snapping this for my Bonnaroo shade decoration to make finding my site easier at night.
