Walmart has the Rockwell Jawhorse RK9003 on sale for $101.80. This is about $38 cheaper than the regular price.

This seems to be a pretty good price, but I don't have any historical data to go off of.

Looks like Amazon has the same deal: https://www.amazon.com/Rockwell-J...B007XRFQKW

FWIW: I had some HD gift cards and called them up to pricematch it. HD has it online, but not in store so you either have to call or show proof it's cheaper at the service desk and have them refund the difference after you've paid full price. I chose to go the safer route in case Amazon or WM change their price before I get to HD.

Interesting device. Not sure I'd pay this asking price for it, but I'm only an occasional home repair guy. Doubt that I'd use it enough to make it worth.

I have the older version, and it's one of the top 5 tools I own. Highly recommend. I use it on almost every large project I do.

Is one enough? Or would I need two for most jobs

It looks like most people get by with just 1, but for some extra long materials I can see wanting another.

I have a generic version of this that I bought at Menards.

These are heavy (this one is 53 pounds), and not super easy to move around. If you'll be using it where you'll be storing it (i.e., a garage or workshop) then you'll probably use it a lot. If you're like me and don't have room in your garage and store it in your basement, then it's kind of some work to haul it upstairs to the garage to use it and haul it back down when you're done. So I don't use it a lot, but when I do, it's quite handy.
