No, box fans are loud as hell, I own the air mega and it moves a ton of air with only the noise of air movement.

Scroll fan blowers are way quieter.

These do a heck of a job cleaning the air, but the filters are expensive unless you get a warehouse deal or 3rd party. Make sure to buy the 4 yr warranty Square because it can break for no reason. Mine didn't for 5 years, but you don't want that headache. This is a good deal for $200 though

Yes, I thought so. No additional cost for shipping, so $164.50 each.

Anyone know if they accept 220-240 voltage in addition to 110-120?

My slightly different model indicates 110v (most things with moving motors or heating elements are usually single voltage).

20 Inch box fan + Furnace filter.

Cheaper, More airflow, AND way more quiet..

You can even use hepa filter, if you think it's worth the extra cash, but any merv13 rating and above is more than enough for home use..

It's moving alot less air than a box fan.

The reason blower fans are used in commercial air filters is to conserve space, and they have higher suction to work with the tight volume.

However, box fans move way more air, at lower rpms and are far more silent RELATIVE to the quantity of air moved.
