What is that suggestion "You definitely want to be looking into IPS displays for photo editing"? Do you even know what is AHVA panel? It is an IPS panel only customized by AU Optronics to address the slow response time of IPS panel, making it optimized for gaming.

For editing, you need a panel with high color accuracy and even if it is a TN panel, that is better choice than an IPS with poor color accuracy.

Anyway, this display is not a good choice of Editing work and it will be as good as any budget IPS panel. This is mainly designed for gaming.

Is this truly ahva? Most moboprice listings have outdated specs, and many times it is a TN panel?

Thoughts on this as an upgrade over a 24inch 60hz panel? Mostly gaming and school work, with some light photo editing (none profession just personal stuff). I also have 50$ in ebay bucks that i could use too.

Without knowing other specs on your current monitor, it's hard to give a suggestion. But this monitor doesn't offer anything fancy, so it most likely isn't worth the upgrade. You definitely want to be looking into IPS displays for photo editing.

In that case, it will be okay for casual editing work.

This looks the same as the Crossover 27V 2560X1440, which overall, is a good monitor, I've been using one for a year or so.

If you don't like the stand, it has standard vesa holes for wall mount. The refresh is actually 75hz (over DP only).

I can't really tell a difference between this monitor and the IPS next to it in terms of color accuracy and viewing angle.

I haven't had any problems with it, except for a spec of dust that settled under the screen. The remote works fine and is easier to use than the stupid buttons on the back of the monitor.
