Could be an ok deal on a relatively new laptop. Non-touch version from what I could tell. Couldn't find anything close with the same specs online.

These are the only specs posted on the tag I took a pic of.

It's a pretty decent deal. Not terrible at all. Perks has this same laptop configured the same for $1786.50. It will go down eventually and become part of the 35% - 40% off deals. But who knows when.

Also the corporations Ive worked for and dealt with never gave out X1 Carbons to their employees. Maybe execs but not associates. X2xx and X3xx series are the models they give out. Just saying.

Update: I have updated my comment above regarding my experience with X1 deployment.

X2xx and X3xx is as expensive as X1 if you add the same bell and whistle. Go spec one out with 16 gb ram and 512 gb nvme drive.

Not if you compare on Lenovo site. The x280 is roughly $300 cheaper than X1.

$300 is nothing when you lease.

If you lease laptops, you're probably doing it wrong.

(Yes, corporations do it wrong, but it's good for consumers because we can buy gently used off-lease laptops off ebay for great prices.)
