I waited till they delivered my laptop at home to post this deal knowing there'll be a lot of TD because not be able to replicated. Here was what I did:

- Log on OD account and add this into cart. [officedepot.com]

- Open a new tab for this page. [microcenter.com]

- Open Chat and provide the link of MC to ask for a PM.

- After checking he said they don't PM MC but gave me 10% off ($60 off) their sale price.

- Nicely asking him to check with his supervisor because the price difference is more than $240.

- After a long hold, he came back told me after checking with his superior the best they can do is 20% off ($120 off).

- I took it and chose Same Day Delivery, he gave me a link to click thru reflecting the discount price.

- He also gave me $20 Reward Credits to my account.

So I got it at $479.99 paying with all my rewards/gift card so basically it's a free laptop.

I think because they don't PM Micro Center then he didn't bother to check stock that it's not available anywhere for pick up in store or for shipping. Or just may be I'm lucky.

Don't forget to use your favor cash back site.

Good luck.

Because the OP values rewards and GC's at $0.

Good luck, your Citi doublecash or Discover will PM to that though. What zipcode do you have for that unit? I want in! Doing this from Walmart.com-Store Finder-Your local store-search for the item in the search field & screenshot your entire screen capturing date is much more PMable than the app.
Didn't think more than 1 place ever used the same SKU machine, mostly to avoid PMing...

They would only give me 20 dollars off (579). Here is my chat

Genevieve: "Hi, my name is Genevieve. It will be my pleasure to assist you today.
Genevieve: Hello Michael. Welcome to Office Depot.
Genevieve: How may I assist you today?
ME: oh, hello
ME: I would like to take advantage of price match policy.
ME:: http://www.microcenter.com/produc...ical_gray#'
Genevieve: Michael, my apologies but we do not match prices from microcenter.
Genevieve: Office Depot® and OfficeMax® stores and Officedepot.com will gladly match the price on a new identical item sold in store and online at Staples, Target, Walmart and Best Buy onl
ME: Can you check with supervisor please? Can you provide any discount?
Genevieve: However let me check what discount I can offer for this item.
Genevieve: The supervisor is not able to provide the price match as well since this is already part of the policy as mandated by our corporate office. However I can provide $20 discount for this item.
ME: 20 dollars. how do i get that discount?
Genevieve: For me to do that, I will place the order, and then I let our customer service department call you for you to give your credit card information as payment because here in chat we don't take that information for safety and security purposes.
ME: I think I'll keep looking if 20 dollars is the best you can do.
Genevieve: Yes that is the maximum discount I can offer.
Genevieve: Is there anything else I can assist you with?
ME: no thanks
Genevieve: It's my pleasure to assist you. Thank you for chatting with us. Take care and enjoy your day. If you need further assistance, we're available to chat with you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To end this chat, please click "Exit Chat", next to the Printer icon, followed by 'Close Window". Thank you for choosing Office Depot.

I used Rewards Certificates (time limit) and Gift Card (no time limit). But the GC is also from RCs converted so basically they're all RCs.

Just like you use your credit card to buy your needs and get rewards for free, I buy stuffs at OD get rewards AND Rewards Certificates from their program.

You can try again with a different rep.

It also confirmed they don't check stock of the stores they don't have to PM, might be a good thing for future deals.

I received an email with a 15% off coupon and a link to the item (The Dell in the post) was in the email. I tried to apply coupon but it was not for technology. I got on chat and she gave me a manual discount of 82.99. That works out to 13.8% discount. I am happy.

Got the agent to give a 20% discount, $479 +tax = ~518. Went ahead and applied for the credit card which will give $50 off fist statement credit.

I'm glad it helped some of you, thinking about getting another one. Also looking for a good deal to upgrade the Ram.
