Editor's Notes & Price Research

Written by

Inspired by the legend and ambitions of America's original pop-culture impresario, P.T. Barnum, comes an inspirational rags-to-riches tale of a brash dreamer who rose from nothing to prove that anything you can envision is possible. This film is rated PG by the Motion Picture Association of America. This special price is valid for limited time only. - Discombobulated

redbox.com has the greatest showman for sale for $10 for HD or SD. $10 less than I see it on any of the other on demand sites.

https://www.redbox.com/ondemand-m...st-showman

Note: Redbox on Demand does NOT sync to Movies Anywhere, and is only available on PC/Mac, iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, and "select smart TVs".
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Keep in mind, Redbox On Demand is not a part of Movies Anywhere or UltraViolet, so your digital copy will be viewable ONLY via Redbox.

I went into this movie expecting nothing and it ended up being one of my favorite movies. It's touching. Some parts were sad. Been listening to the soundtrack for months.

Great movie with great sets.

Good call out. I pre-ordered the 4K BR (which includes Digital version) from this thread for $18; I believe that version will port out via MA.

And only on devices that support the app.

Saved me from buying it then. Thanks.

Then it is a total FAIL and waste of money

Eh, "waste of money" seems a little harsh. It is still easily available to watch via any tablet or PC, and can be watched on just about any TV without too much difficulty. Movies Anywhere would make it a better deal, but it's not like there isn't any way to watch it if you buy it.

It's a good deal and worth posting. A lot of people will have devices that can play it.

But "just about any TV" depends on how much trouble someone wants to go to. I have a 2017 TV and a 2018 4k blu ray player and I don't think either handle it. Sure, I could hook up a laptop somehow. But I'd put that in the "too much difficulty" category. It's easier just to get it in a format that is supported.

4k bluray + digital is $19 in the Foxconnect thread, so easier to go that way for some.

Of course this won't be the easiest/best solution for everyone, I was just pointing out that it hardly seems like a "waste of money" just because it isn't on Movies Anywhere. For me, the $10 savings is worth the 2 minutes it will take to run my HDMI from my laptop to my TV to watch it that way. For others that is more work than it is worth.

From the Redbox on demand site it looks like it should be available on LG Smart TVs from 2013 to present, and Samsung Smart TVs and Blu-ray players from 2013 to present.
