Thinkpad 25 Anniversary Edition $1367.28 with Perk Discount

Thinkpad 25th anniversary edition.

Was $1899 during launch but $1367.28 with perk discount.

Good computer for those that want Thinkpad's classic 7 row keyboard that decided to wait.

Apparently this is the 3rd production run, and there are less than 100 units left per Lenovo's CSR. They may or may not have a 4th run.

Price is OK for the price. This is more a collector's item vs bang-for-your-buck laptop. Lets also remember that this is a business laptop and not a consumer-line. You can get similar specs on a consumer laptop for a MUCH lower price. The keyboard is glorious!

Agreed, but much better than $1899, now that's REALLY sad!!!

It is a $500ish outdated laptop and a $1000 Thinkpad classic logo.

This would be a TON warmer with even the 8th gen U processor and an mx150.

Definitely. If it had the 8th gen quad core processor and the mx150, I'd gladly pay $1899. But this is still an ok deal for if you add in the collectibles factor.

Do not want to start an argument with you, but as I previously stated, this is a business laptop and not a consumer line laptop.

You can't compare this to something like a dell Inspiron or an acer. You can compare those to ideapads or the E-series.

It is only for hobbiers and love thinkpad. Otherwise for this price there are plenty of better options in thinkpad series itself.
I7 is outdated for this price.

Price is back up to $1520. Hopefully those that wanted it got it at the lower price.

This Thinkpad 25 Anniversary Edition (released Oct 2017) is based on the T470 (Jan 2017) which is why it has last gen specs.

Buy the recently released Thinkpad T480 [lenovo.com] which can be had with the MX150 paired with the i5-8350U (4x1.7~3.6) or i7-8650U (4x1.9~4.2). It can be configured with a 14" FHD touch or non-touch screen or 2560x1440 non-touch LCD. Configured with the Core i5-8350U, GeForceMX150 2GB, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 500GB HDD (Lenovo charges an exorbitant $339 to upgrade to a 512GB M.2 SSD) 14" FHD touch LCD, backlit keyboard (not classic keyboard), fingerprint reader, Windows 10 Pro to closely match OP's laptop, it comes out to $1507 before any discount/coupon/cashback (plus cost to buy a 512GB SSD). It is significantly faster but without the classic keyboard or exclusivity.

Or wait for the Thinkpad 26th Anniversary Edition based on the T480 Wink

I see a preconfigured Thinkpad E480 with i7-8550U (4x1.8~4.0), Radeon RX550 2GB (faster than the MX150), 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD for $881 [jet.com] at Jet.com. Many people don't see the E series as true Thinkpad though, but it should at least be better built than Ideapad and other consumer class laptops.
