No need for it by many of us. We prefer the $100 saving. We also prefer not Smart.

I've had a Sceptre TV for three years and runs like a top. Very pleased with the brand.

Many reviewers say that if your going 4K then HDR is really a must to really get all the perks from upgrading. I can understand not wanting a Smart tv as Roku, 4k Blu Ray players and other options can do that part of the job but if you want 4K you prooooobably want HDR capabilities.

Looking to replace my old tv in garage, is the 50" ($270) worth it?

What's the input lag in the 65"? Can you play video games on it?

That 55" is a great deal. I remember buying a 43" for $250 in early 2016

The Smart part I'd agree with, though its hard to find TVs that don't have it. The HDR I'd disagree with, its a feature you should get if going for 4K.

I'm looking for an inexpensive upgrade to 4K (while I wait for OLED prices to drop/technology to mature). Great prices, but I'd want HDR for console gaming.
