Amcrest is pushed regularly on here and Amazon. Do your own research, heavily inflated reviews- just read some of them and check dates. I have a similar one I got free: terrible software, decent hardware. But so many options out there, dont blindly buy this just because there are seemingly numerous upvotes. 6TU with zero comments is not normal.

Thank you. The impulse power of getting a good deal is strong. I'll hold off. I think I'd rather pay a few more bucks for the higher resolution version of one of these cams - not necessarily this brand.

Awful software. It's impossible to record to ftp or nas AND playback from your phone at the same time. So when things like motion detect triggers a notification, you can't even watch it on your phone if you're away, unless you choose to record on sd card, which defeats the whole purpose because if someone is breaking into your home, they can take the sd card... do yourself a favor and if you're looking for a true home security camera, get an arlo

Does this compatible with lorex? Got the recent costco warehouse deal. Looking for the 8th camera, don't need for 4K since this is the last one for indoor

Should avoid security camera from Chinese brand if you don't like them to locate and look over your house. IMO

In for one. Been waiting for it to go on sale. I already bought two of them a year ago. One with POE and one without. As usual, they work well with my BlueIris set up.

Which is probably why they always go on sale. Smilie And why I firewall them off from the internet.

I think this is not the best price it has been available lately - Amcrest ProHD 1080P WiFi Camera 2MP (1920TVL) Indoor Pan/Tilt Security Wireless IP Camera IP2M-841B was certainly offered for $56 (so cheaper than this deal) just a few weeks ago. That said, I like this camera and bought the second one on that lightning deal, but it looks like Amcrest is carefully gauging how much they can go up and still make the sale...

I have no affiliation with Amcrest or Amazon. I was looking at my Amazon cart when I noticed the price drop. I have 2 of these and they work great for my needs. I can watch my home when away at work or vacation. I get alerts when my kids get home from school, so I know they are home. I record to SD but the software also emails me photo and video that triggered the alert. Best it is very stable, may be because my setup is so simple. Hoping it helps some one with similar needs.

Other additional features I use... Set alert monitoring times, listen to audio remotely. Note that some additional features are accessible from the web compared to Mobile app.
