Great price but keep in mind that it has no wrist rest, no backlighting, no programmable keys, no USB/audio pass through

It definitely has windows lock functionally. It's right there in the description on Amazon

This keyboard is great for office work since they use the silent Red caps. I wouldn't recommend this for gaming because it doesn't have a feature that prevents accidental pressing of the windows key.

Tbh even red switch is not silent enough, it is still much louder than membrane keys. Maybe red switch with o-rings applied would only make it sufficiently silent.

I have the Cherry MX Blue version at work. Luckily, it hasn't disturbed anyone. I just love the tactile feedback, and would like to get another one for home use! Even that one is less expensive than what I bought it for last year..

None of which I care about and do not want to pay extra for in a mechanical keyboard.Applause

This is a repost of a deal posted 11 days ago. That deal briefly expired and was marked as such, but comments on the thread from several days ago correctly indicated that it is live again.

Where does it mention that it's 'silent red' and not the regular old reds ?

The Amazon ad says nothing about it and the product web page only says this..

Quote :
Cherry RED key provides superior key response and an optimized actuation force of 45g. Reduced key actuation distance of 2mm improves keyboard response time while remaining whisper silent during operation.
Sounds like they're implying Cherry MX Reds are silent, maybe in comparison to Blue switches?

Yes, thanks. Def just comparing it to blues. Silent reds are way to expensive right now.

I think this comes down to your typing style. If you're a gentle touch typist they're plenty quiet. If you bang on your keyboard, then, yeah, they're going to be loud.

I'd be all over this if it was 10keyless. So hard to find reds without the numpad.

(Reds at home, browns at work for me.)
