It's just a silly amount of money to spend on a computer. What a beautiful monster though

Correct...many people, and professional video editors etc, can easily afford this.

A tesla is $120k....so $4k on a computer is nothing. Actually a $4k pc gaming rig is not unreasonable.

Remember this has a $1500 screen in 5k.

5k is already cheaper than buying all the components then put them together. This, omfg.

Really??? Why would you say something as ridiculous as that? Lots of video production companies and studios use imacs or imac pro.

Gotta say, that is alot of money, but you are getting a lot of power. Wish the screen was larger though. Maybe the next iteration.

Lol people will never understand...

When you work. your computer is the way you feed your family, your criteria are availability, reliability, no frills, good support, the softwares that you and your clients uses. iMac and iMac pro provides all that. Can I get a cheaper or faster pc probably (for the iMac pro I doubt it for the moment).

And yes professional uses Imacs pro and regular iMacs but also professional windows workstation that cost the same or more because of the additions mentionnées above (like HP Z workstations or the Lenovo thinkstation,....)

Stop speaking with your ass

Picked one of these up. Don't forget to contact apple to buy the matching magic trackpad as it doesn't come with the computer. Even if you don't want it, it's a quick flip on fleebay. Just go to apple chat and they will send you an invoice after you give them your serial number. If you can live without the matching keyboard and mouse also, you can probably get this down to around 3500. It's a gorgeous machine and not for everyone but if you need it or can afford it, it's hard to regret. I came from a late 2015 imac with i7 and 32gb ram. Performance is generally similar but under large loads the xeon shines.
