5 days to Submit a Rebate???? (Lenovo 720S laptop $75 Paypal Rebate)

Hey All,

I'm totally new Slick Deals rebates and didn't realize the so many rebate complaints. If I had known, I wouldn't have bothered. I bought a Lenovo 720s laptop deal through here in Feb and included a $75 Paypal rebate.

I later discovered that they had a fine print conveniently hidden in their long rebate print that "rebates must be submitted within 5 days"???? Who does that?

I have never in over 20 years of rebates where you have submit within 5 days. That's not even sufficient time for me to receive my laptop. It took over 7 days for the delivery! And that's considered fast. I've always assumed you can't really submit a rebate because you need some sort of proof from the box. Rebates have always had a 30 days limit.

Seems like the rebate is designed to guaranteed not do-able. How is this acceptable? Anyone else have experience dealing with this?

i don't have personal experience to contribute but if you are concerned about the status of your rebate, i suggest you shoot an email to our in house rebates team at rebates@slickdeals.net for assistance

Certainly doesn't seem fair that he gets only 5 days for a rebate, while you guys get more days to reply to an email. Maybe follow some common sense when running these promotions?. Just saying...

It's now way over a week now since I emailed rebates. No one has responded at all. Anyone cares at SD?

Although it was extremely painful and slow, SD did come through and was able help me get the rebate paid. It would not be fair to SD if I didn't post it here. This is my first SD rebate and not sure if I want to do it again given the crazy condition the rebate had.
