This thread is shilled badly. These socks contain hardly any wool. If you actually need to keep your feet warm, do yourself a favor and buy real wool socks. These ain't it.
Black and Navy: 58% polyester, 17% wool, 14% nylon, 8% acrylic, 3% rubber.
Brown: 38% acrylic, 30% polyester, 15% nylon, 14% wool, 2% rubber, 1% other.

Aren't the Costco ones about the same in wool amount?

Maybe MERINO wool might have something to do with the comfort/dryness/heat

Yes, these are a wool blend. Overall review rating: 4.6 / 5 stars.

Most recent reviews:
"Great socks for the price. Warm and cozy and I love the design."

"These socks are amazing. 3 years ago I was gifted a pair of Dickies - Men's Wool Thermal Steel Toe Crew Socks and I wore them all the time. I loved those socks. I asked my wife to buy more of them on numerous occasions and it seemed I was only worthy of these awesome socks on Christmas. Christmas came and I finally got new ones. I was wearing them so often I would run out before the week was up, so we bought more and I love them. Did I mention I love these socks?"

"Very comfortable."
Lol sounds similar to the reviews that start with "I bought some for my son/daughter and they love it."

Costco are 70% Merino Wool. Much better, even if .75$ more a sock
