I've used two of these exact same models for the last 4 years for offgrid camping and they've been flawless. To hookup 30amp RV service you do have to use a parallel kit that they sell that's also very well made. These are Yamaha inverter knockoffs and they're just as well made IMO as my FILs Honda 2000w inverters. They sip gas on quiet mode.

Complaints are that the gas tank is small but even on full RV load with AC blowing I can get 5-6hrs on a full tank in both. To access the oil stick/fill you have to remove three screws on the side panel and there's no hour meter.

I run these for 96hrs straight, run the carb dry, store them for 4-6months with a little Stabil and they always fire up second pull. I've had no service issues with either generator and just do routine synthetic oil changes. I've been VERY happy with them.

That's not how carbon monoxide works. Please don't kill yourself or your family and run it outside.

Ha, I got a 1000W model from a previous deal to try out...mainly to see if I could charge my electric car in a pinch. Alas, as expected, it can't handle the full 1000W load. But it's nice and quiet and portable.

This would be a better choice, but not cheap enough for my "just in case" needs.

Nice to have lower power inverter capabilities...but charging your phone...really? Wink

These ones have better carbs (Yamaha clone if you wanted to compare), and other little things like a fuel gauge. The benefit to the Honda is the fuel pump for adding a secondary tank. You can add the pump to the Wen, but it's like $150 for the kit unless you want to piece everything together yourself (can be had for about $40 if you source the parts yourself - google it)

Haven't these inverters gone down to the $300 range? Was holding out for something in that range, especially with taxes bringing this over $400. Also, how does this compare to the pulsar, Duramax, jegs etc? I'm only looking in the 2000 watt range because going higher is double the price or weight from 50-90lbs. Can I run these at night at a campsite or is it too annoying/loud? Was thinking of running a heater in my tent.

Well of course the Honda. But your gonna pay more than double. I think it depends on your needs. How often do you plan to use It?

On quiet mode they just barely pur but you wouldn't want to run this all night for a camping heater. Check our Mr. buddy and a 20lb propane tank hose kit. Much more effective and silent.

How loud are these things? If I had the garage open to exhaust the smell during a power outage, would it bug the hell out of the neighbors? Thanks

No, it's not obnoxious like a non-inverter generator. It's under 50lbs and will ramp up/down based on current load.
