That's literally what this site is for, the best deal available at the time. When a better deal comes out then it'll be posted. If we always wait for a better deal in order to post something here, then nothing would ever get posted. However, if someone is in the market for a product like this now and this fits their needs, why is it a bad deal?

But rtings.com HAS seen this set and tested every aspect of it. They also determined it to display the absolute lowest picture quality of any TV made in 2017.

Their overall summary of this TV is

You have had a TV that came out May of 2017 for the last 3 years? That is really impressive.

Anyone that owns a time machine must clearly know more about TVs that rtings.com does. I now fully trust your opinion over their testing.

BTW. This is rtings.com comparison of the TCL S405 to this LG UJ6300.

But I have verified that they did NOT have a verified time traveler on their testing team. So your expert opinion would carry more weight their their testing.

Why the thumbs up? You'd have to be desperate to buy it at this price.
Dell is $339.00 plus a $100.00 gift card. Where is it cheaper?

Got this from Dell a few weeks ago. Really good bedroom TV, the LG OS is pretty nice and very responsive.

It was $260 with 10% rakuten points just a week ago, and even that was barely a slick deal. It's basically one of the worst rated available 43" TVs and has been cheaper.

Maybe the SD bar is extremely low now, if so then thumbs up.

So can u give REAL alternatives to TV's in this price range? The picture I tuned in on this was ok.. Certainly better than most 1080p sets from a few years ago. Full blown HDR is something no one can get in this price range. Some people still just watch cable. This sets fine for that.

A product isn't a SD just cause it happens to be the best price around that day or week, that's my point. If we start thumbing up bad deals just cause there's no better deal at the moment, the site becomes useless.

The poster was just spouting off. Probably hasn't even seen this set...typical.

I've seen low end LGs, hotels always seem to use them, they're fine, that isn't what the thumbs up button is for.

Dell even charges tax, it's $287 for me, which is a crappy deal. Who's thumbing this up, LG employees?

The same site has the TCL 43S405 for $271 with save15 coupon and no tax. Better TV and cheaper.

I have this series TV in the bedroom and an oled in the living room. I totally prefer LG webos over my previous Samsungs. I would imagine everything else is even worst. The built-in tvplus function provides like 100 or more internet channels which is pretty neat. I guess the point is if these were in around 200 it would be something worth being excited about. Hell I once was excited to pay 299 for a top of the line 32" smart TV msrp at 699 4 years ago.

Also don't really see this as a great deal honestly, but thumbs up simply because the OP put RGBW in the title
