Bestbuy has the g413 on sale again. It is $4 more than the last sale but still a good deal if you missed out like me. Last sale was cheapest ever I believe.

$49.99

I bought for my first mechanical last year after doing tons of research and testing switches at my local Best Buy. Couldn't be happier. I like the feel of these switches better than the cherry switches I tested at Best Buy.

This only has red lighting, but honestly who cares about multi color lighting on a keyboard. I bought a fancy RGB motherboard and RAM on my last build, and after a week of looking at it I turned it all off and set to solid color... not worth the upcharge for full RGB if you ask me.

edit... one last thing... the weight of the keyboard is perfect, very solid. and surprisingly I have gotten a ton of use out of the USB port on it. My PC case sits on the desk 2 feet away, but I still tend to use this port as long as I'm plugging in USB2.0

You only need to plug it into one USB port (look for the plug with the keyboard icon on it). The other USB plug is for the USB passthrough on the top edge of the keyboard and is optional if you don't plan on using it.

Just got one from the last sale, they aren't loud like Cherry Red Switch, they are very similar to Cherry Brown switches

I got one off the sale last week. I'd agree with the input above with one caveat. The key caps have a slight metallic/glossiness to them that shows fingerprints a little. It's not terrible and certainly not something that would turn me off of this keyboard given its overall quality/value, just something to be aware of.

It has all the same indicators for Caps and Num lock. Logitech software also throws up an image on screen when it is cycled.

Edit... I stand corrected. I just looked at mine and saw it does have Caps lock LED indicator on the board, but not Num lock. The Num lock indicator is on-screen only. Shows for about 2 seconds on the upper right of the screen and then fades away after you toggle.

Got it last time from bb. My first mech keyboard. Great improvement over standard keyboard. Red backlight has 5 levels of brightness, but I whished you could dim them a bit more. In dark it's too distracting, so I prefer to turn the backlight off.

I bought this last week for $45. I really like it. It is a very high quality no frills keyboard. No extra buttons or settings. It is the normal amount of loud for a mechanical keyboard.
Only downsides are no num lock and the keys attract fingerprints. But it is really high quality. I specifically didn't want bells and whistles
