RazoRock Mamba DE Safety Razor $50 + s/h

I've seen a lot of front page deals on cheap disposable razors that usually cost a fortune for blade replacements and decided to show a much better option (imo). This is a "lifetime" razor that that can literally passed down to your grand-kids grand-kids.

Disposables are not environmentally friendly, and cost a fortune when replacing their blades. Why people still buy them, I honestly have no flipping clue.

With that said I'm posting a razor that would typically cost you $150 - $250 with these specs. (do your homework on these specs and a razor with marine grade 316L Stainless Steel and you will know I'm not lying) This razor in watch terms is rolex quality at a casio price. It is also not chinese made. They are made in Canada. You can read everything through razor link.

After the initial cost of the razor itself, blades will typically last a week at a time (shaving daily), and the blades cost less than 10-20 cents each to replace. (less than $1 a MONTH to shave) Not only that, you will get a much better shave. (The 3 - 6 blade crap is a complete gimmick)

Ladies, safety razors are not just for guys, so don't be scared. This safety razor is very mild and with a practice round or two, you'll be cursing the big disposable brands name for literally stealing your money.

Italianbarber.com is highly respected by razor enthusiasts. Just google it, and you will see many forums praising them for their quality items.

($50 + shipping, although if you spend $60, shipping is free. So you might throw a pack of blades on if you decide to buy)

Almost dead center USA. :-D

(edit) Just went back to the site, and saw $49.99. Not sure why, but very slick, in any case.

What is the difference between this and the one I bought for $10 on Amazon? It's just a holder for the razor. The razor does the job.

Sorry, but what razor did you buy on Amazon?

You can buy a cheap DE razor for 10-15 bucks on Amazon, Ebay, or wherever. Main difference is they are not tight on specs (Mamba is spec'd up to two thousandths of an inch), and it is made with extremely high quality stainless steel (Marine Grade 316L). That makes it waterproof and almost indestructible, compared to the 10-15 dollar cheap bronze, chrome, whatever plated ones that will rust out on you in no time.

Do they do close to the same thing....sure. But I'd rather pay once for insane quality tool with tight specs that will be a family heirloom, than replace a rusty knockoff razor every 2 - 5 years.

Which is still low. I only posted this because people are throwing their money away with cartridge front deal razors, so I thought I would put this out there for those looking. I hate seeing people throw their money away on crap.

Saving from DE/wet shaving would be true of any DE razor. The Mamba is a well made yet pretty mild razor. Most would be better off with a Rockwell 6C adjustable which would give them 6 levels of aggressiveness all for....... $50. Or people could save some money and get a Baili DE off of aliexpress for less than $10 shipped and save even more money. As always YMMV.

Adjustable razors can be nice, especially with more than one person using it. I just like a set razor because less mechanisms. The mamba, even though it is mild would probably take car of almost all women, and most men, unless you have super thick coarse hair.

I'm for DE shaving; but this price is to high today IMHO. But if you don't mind it then it looks really solid and claims perfect alignment.

However you can get a good aligning $2.54 shipped for a mild, with just a stamped head and a OK handle; but it shaves like a dream. "Tech" 3-peice clone. So it's whatever you want to pay.

Uh huh. And all you're getting out of posting a not slick deal on Slickdeals is...?

Your sales pitch is a little "I'm doing you a favor" or "I'm practically GIVING these away!"

This is a lot to pay for a first-timer with DE, especially if you find you don't want a mild razor. Check out the butterfly Bigfoot, it sometimes goes on sale for $15 but is $25 normally.

Then get a blade sample pack... most of the variance in how a shave goes is in the blade and soap, not the handle, once you find the level of aggression you like. Bigfoot is a nice in-between for aggression and is much easier to load... no handle disassembly required.
