NVIDIA's online store is selling the 1080 Founders Edition Graphics card for $549 plus tax. Before complaining that this is MSRP, please note that these have been very hard to find anywhere, so hopefully this helps a gamer out.

He's just trolling. The fact that these didn't sell out in seconds show the demand is weening

mining has bottomed out, new cards coming in summer, used market will be flooded, not sure it makes sense to pay so much to get it now...

What? Pretty sure this is a troll.. if not, as a miner you clearly have no idea what you're doing, running cards at max TDP is a complete waste of money. I have 3 mining rigs and they are babied, they are running at 65% TDP(65% of max wattage) and never go over 70C, which is lower temp than gaming and is the highest efficiency, running them with any more power is a waste, my power bill is already high enough.

oh, lol! I though he was being serious. There is no demand for these anymore, so cards are bound to drop in price even further pretty soon. I had 6 rx580 mining ethereum but stopped since there is almost no profit at all since last crash Frown
Mining was never that profitable in USA anyway. Electricity is too expensive.

would you trust a card that's been mined with? who knows how hard or long they've been running. i wouldn't even consider it when the flood of used cards hit the market.

Don't stop. If you believe it will go up someday, then it's an investment.

Assuming the miner wasn't really dumb, they wouldn't run it into the ground, because it takes long enough just to recoup even if you take good care of the card so that it lasts.
