So many games Google. Just discount the phone already. None of this financing and service credit garbage

Hardly. They're playing the same games with Pixel2xl discounts via financing (new line of credit/hard pull). They're supposed to be better than the competition, recently acting exactly the same.
Why would they be different? Just because they have billions in cash? They are all the same eggs in a different basket.

Free phone is Awesome! Activated one 10 days back into a group plan. Contacted the Fi guys and they said I still qualify for this promo to replace a nexus 6 in the group plan.

Best service I've had, amazing customer service, and even the Moto is a good option for the service (we have 2 OG Pixel XLs and a Moto on our account).

Have talked friends to try the service, none of them have looked back.

I will say the pixel has settings that help keep data bill down, and the notice does not get day 1 updates on the OS like pixel does.

I wish they'd lower the price of data or alow people to buy more data at a discount (without refunds).

You know they have "bill protection" now, so that your bill is capped, no matter how much data you use, right?

Essentially makes it an unlimited plan, if you wanna go that high.

I used to be an 8 GB user on my own, with a family plan that went over 12 GB regularly.
Between things Google does to decrease mobile data use, and pixel does, my family rarely goes over 2 GB a month total, and we made next to no changes to our use besides downloading Spotify playlists we want.

Fi I saving me around $150 a month compared to my old bills.

Yeah, but that caps out at 15GB then throttled to 256kbit. I can get unlimited for $45 on Xfinity Mobile. I'd like to see domestic and international rates separated.

They have said they have yet to throttle anyone yet. I imagine as people abuse it, it will get throttled

I wouldn't let Comcast have any part of my life. Horrid customer service and I expect the mobile service to get exploitative real quick, it's their M.O.

Also, Xfinity is a MVNO, like Fi, but is restricted to one type of cell service, unlike Fi Network flexibility.

Fi is in a word fantastic. International coverage, up to 10 free data SIMs, and the best support in the biz. The idea of talking to AT&T or Verizon customer support is bad news, but Fi is so super quick to respond whether via call or email, makes me wonder why they aren't a big mobile telecom player yet.

And yes you can pop a data SIM into any GSM phone so long as you activate it with a proper Fi phone. I have a whole arsenal of LTE devices at my disposal with no additional line fees.

The Moto x4 was a very good deal at $250 by itself.

Only drawback is with high data usage, if you go over 3gb, you might be better off (I cheaper) with a big carrier family plan.

Does the camera(s) on the X4 still suck? I remember reading that they were pretty disappointing, but I assume there's been an update since release.

Also, is there much dev work on this phone?
