Was $69.99 last month, but this is still an attention-grabbing price for some solid in-ears. Mixed reviews upon release but they launched at $199.99.

I have. Purchased new and on sale for $178 from a big box store.

Sound: Very good. Solid bass, but not necessarily rumbling, full mids, and classic Sony highs (rolled off, smooth). Sony Connect App does let you adjust the sound, but only with the preset profiles. There is no EQ tinkering available with this model.

Fit: Very good. Lightweight, secure. Ear tips and fins are all very comfortable, not shallow, and will fit most people well.

Connection: Here's where things start to break down. Even after the most recent firmware update, there are constant drops. Keep in mind, I use these mostly at my desk in my home office with my phone in front of me. It's not so much the connection to my phone as it is the connection of one bud to the other. I mean, just sitting and not moving, random drops will occur.

Latency: Average. With YouTube, it sucks and there is a clear delay. With videos shot on your phone, there is almost no perceptible delay. Amazon Video works well too. So, depends what videos you watch and where. If you're primarily watching YouTube, this not a good option.

Battery Life: Really short. You may get 2.5 hours if you listen to it at very low volumes, but at only 35-40% volume, it lasted me around 2 hours driving to the gym and in the gym. I had to finish my workout with the crappy music they play there.

Overall, even at this price, it's just not functional enough, IMHO, to warrant paying $75 for something I will probably just not use long-term.

I'm waiting for the WF-SP700N [sony.com] to see how those perform.

I love my Sony WF-1000X. Best audio quality I have heard on true wireless headphones yet. I have also used Beoplay E8, Icon x, Jabra 65t , Jabra Elite Sport and Bose true wireless earbuds.

UNINSTALL THE SONY APP TO INCREASE AND IMPROVE VOLUME or simply turn the Equalizer in the App off, its awful.
