iphone X $20 monthly iphone forever plan @ Sprint -- YMMV

I shopped all the major carriers this past weekend for a new iPhone X. FWIW, Sprint had the best deal by far with their Sprint Flex plan.

It works like this:

On any new line of service, you can choose an iPhone X 64GB for $20/month on Sprint Flex.

Essentially, the device payment is $41.61, but Sprint is giving you $21.61 bill credit for 18 months, making the payment $20 monthly for 18 months.

Under this promotion, you can trade in the iphone X after 12 payments and get whatever phone you want, IF you want a new one (iphone X Plus should be available by then!)

You also have the option of making 6 additional payments of $41.67 after the 18 months is up and keeping the phone. (making your total purchase price the 18 $20 payments ($360) + 250.00, or $610.00 for the iphone X if you decide to keep it.

Compare that to the $999 MSRP for buying the phone outright and it's a pretty sweet deal.

This deal was NOT advertised in the POP at the Sprint Stores, I had to ask about it.

It may or may not be a good deal for you when packaged with their other plans. In my situation, I qualified for the Sprint Employee Referral... Wireless Advantage Club plan which is $30/month with autopay with unlimited everything.. so essentiall Iphone X 64GB + unlimited talk, text, and 4G data for $50/month + taxes is why I signed up. You won't get the SWAC deal unless you know a Sprint employee who will sponsor you.

Should I need to pay full price of the phone or just the monthly lease price for 18 months and the last 6 months full payment.

Being tied to a lease contract for the X this late into the release cycle is stupid, the new one is releasing in a few months.
