I bought the same set last year at this price. Don't believe the nay-sayers that shit is legit even if it weren't at this price point

Wouldn't touch it? That's too far. For the average to avid diy homeowner Ryobi is top dog. The prices are great and quality is good. Plus they have a lineup of tools second to none. If you aren't using the tools for a living, Milwaukee fuel tools are overkill. Are they better than Ryobi? Absolutely. Could you use the money you save for something else you need? Most likely and you will be more than satisfied with the Ryobi stuff. I have used the 6 piece set to finish my basement and all 6 tools performed great. I have since bought the 1/2" impact, 10" polisher, bt radio, and hedge trimmer. All tools are excellent. I personally wouldn't consider any other line.

Tempted...In the market for just an impact driver, but at this price might need to get all of them.

This is a great set, but if you are looking for an impact driver, Ryobi's brushless one is amazing.

Either one you pick you can't go wrong.

I got this deal last time and I'm a DIY person and all the tools have worked great for me. The 2 batteries is a nice plus and the impact driver has never given me an issue

Great deal if you have none of these tools at home. Otherwise, pony up for their brushless versions, at the very least.

I have the craftsman version, but 15 years older. At this point it's almost the same price to get this as to replace the worn out batteries and one tool. The circular saw and sawzall would come in handy for a remodel I'm about to do, are they about as good as the older craftsman 19.2v?

I'm in both the Ryobi and Milwaukee 18v ecosystems. I have duplicates of both. The Ryobi brushless line can hang with the Milwaukee FUEL line for the hammer drills and the impact drill.. but the M18 FUEL Sawzall is an absolute beast. The Ryobi brushless reciprocating saw can't hang with it at all. I'm sure this set will be OK to replace your set. I wouldn't touch it, personally. Quality over quantitiy.. and once you start buying tools, you'll regret not investing in the higher performing version.

I had tons of the 19.2 Craftsman stuff including sawzall and circular saw. The Ryobi is as good or better. I have this exact set and several other tools. They all work great. I also second the brushless comments for them being awesome. I have the brushless hammer drill and it is quite a bit stronger than any other battery drill I have used.

IMO they are better than Craftsman. I still have some of the old blue Ryobi tools, as well as some new ones, and they're still working flawlessly. The lithium 18v batteries are great, but for any tool with a higher draw, such as the reciprocating saw, circular saw, you may want to purchase the larger batteries as they will drain the smaller ones rather quickly.

Take the plunge! The impact driver has so many uses. Easier to drive screws, get a socket adapter set for it, and it opens other possibilities. I use it in a mechanic shop for making quick work of interior bolts and screws.

I'm thinking of upgrading my older drills, what do you all do with them? I don't want to deal with ebay or craigslist as some batteries have short life spans.
