Does not come with HSF nor thermal compound. Still a screaming deal, but definitely check out Micro Center's CPU/GPU/Mobo bundles first to make sure they're not a better deal for you.

I will pass since they now tax me in TX. Still a good price for someone with a cheap or existing z170/z270 board.

Is there a thread? I got one of these to replace a i3-6100, but was considering getting an i5-8400 and new mobo instead.

I saw that too. It might not work with my mobo, but worst case scenario I sell it for a small profit.

I was reading some tech review article for the coffee lake ones and they stressed that you shouldn't buy the 7th gen really even at a good deal, but I can see how this price is mighty tempting.

Also, what does chase have 5% back on? Not sure if he was talking 2 different things (paypal credit and chase) or if chase has some paypal credit deal.

Anddddd I'll repeat again, when you buy from ebay, even from legit stores, I think the manufacturer can technically refuse to honor a warranty on it and plus who knows if monoprice is even an authorized dealer.

I picked it up to pair with the asus rog whetstone board that Newegg is having the $50 rebate on, and 16g of Corsair ddr4 3000 for $165 ish, and a 3yr extended warranty on the board (since it had mixed reviews and I figure they are clearing them out for a reason) but all in I'm at $454 (after rebate on mobo) and my budget was $450 so I'm pretty happy
